סיפור עלייתה של משפחת אלדאודי ממרקש דרך אסואירה (מוגדור) שבמרוקו בשנת 1837, מתואר על רקע ההיסטוריה של היהודים במרקש ובאסואירה במאה ה־19, בדגש על בית הקברות במרקש והנמל במוגדור. בהסתמך על מקורות שנשארו ברשות המשפחה, מתואר ניסיון של בני המשפחה לחזור ולעלות על קברי המשפחה בבית הקברות במרקש בשנת 1895.

Marrakech and Essaouira - historical and genealogical perspective

The story of the immigration of the Eldaudi family from Marrakech through Essaouira (Mogador) to the land of Israel in the year 1837 is described with respect to historical perspective of the Jewish communities in these cities during the nineteenth century with emphasis on the graveyard in Marrakech and the port of Essaouira. Based on sources from the family archives, the article describes an unsuccessful attempt to return and visit the graves of the family in Marrakech in 1895.
